Bournemouth are looking to bounce back from their 3-1 away defeat to Shaftesbury as they take on Alresford Town this saturday.

However, this will prove to be a very difficult task, as Alresford currently top the Sydenhams Wessex Premeir Division with seven wins and a defeat from eight games. In comparison, Bournemouth sits third from bottom in 18th after playing nine.

Last season, both sides managed away victories over each other, with the Magpies coming out on top first with a 2-1 win. The Poppies then overcame them 3-2 in March 2019, with two goals from Dominic Falco and a Tom Wensley effort securing the three points.

Alresford’s recent form has unsurprisingly been great, with only a 2-0 home loss to Horndean putting a blot on their league campaign. They haven’t been afraid to score goals, achieving 5-0 and 3-1 victories over Hamworthy Utd and Tadley Calleva respectively.

In comparison, Bournemouth can’t compare with a draw and four defeats in their last five league matches. They are also the lowest scorers in the league, after only managing five in nine matches. This may be difficult to remedy against a side who have only conceded six so far.

For team news, Kevin Foreman, Jake Harvey, Patrick Wilson and Jamie Trimble are back in the squad after missing the mid-week game against Shaftesbury.

Dan Hill is not available after injuring his ankle on Tuesday.

Bournemouth FC vs Alresford Town will take place at Victoria Park on Saturday 5th October at 3pm.
